Soccer Senior Night
This Friday, September 28th is Senior Night at the Varsity Men's Soccer home game! Join us as we recognize our senior athletes after the game against SouthLake Christian, which will begin at 4:30pm. Congratulations, Class of 2019!

Volleyball Senior Night
Next Tuesday, October 2nd is Senior Night at the Varsity Volleyball home game! Join us as we recognize our senior athletes before the game against Gaston Christian, which is scheduled to begin at 6:00pm. Congratulations, Class of 2019!

Winter Sports Sign-Ups

Interest sign-ups for winter sports (basketball, cheerleading, and swimming) will be held this week (Tuesday, September 25th through Friday, September 28th). Middle School and High School students may sign up in the HS office or on the MS hallway. Students may also sign up via the 2018-19 Winter Sign-Ups Google Form. There will be a winter sports informational meeting on Monday, October 15th at 6:30pm in room 3012 in the basement of the Education Building. Tryouts for winter sports will be held the week of October 29th (specific days and times to be announced soon).

MS Boys' Basketball Workouts

MS Boys' Basketball will have pre-season workouts on Friday, October 5th and Friday, October 19th from 2:45-4:15pm in Gym C.

Off-Season Workouts

Workouts for all high school off-season athletes are being held Monday through Thursday from 2:45 to 4:30 at the field house. Both male and female athletes from any sport are welcome and encouraged to attend workouts.

Team Pictures

Fall team pictures for Varsity Women's Golf will be taken on Thursday, September 27th at 3:15pm at Pine Lake Country Club. All athletes will take both an individual and team pictures regardless of whether or not they are ordering pictures. Please bring your completed PICTURE FORM and money to turn in to the photographer on your team's picture day.

Booster Club Fundraiser at Mooyah

The Booster Club will be holding a fundraiser at Mooyah on Tuesday, October 9th from 4:30pm to 8:30pm. Eat at Mooyah to help raise money for HGCS!

Volunteers Needed for Fall Season

The HGCS Athletic Department and AAA Booster Club need the help of volunteers to assist with admissions and concessions at athletic events throughout the spring season. Please sign up for a volunteer time slot on our Sign Up Genius page.

Class Colors Night & Powder Puff Football
This Thursday, September 20th is "Class Colors Night" at the home soccer and volleyball games! Students can wear their class t-shirts or class colors to be admitted to the home games for just $1. Join us at the soccer field after the Varsity Men's Soccer game for our annual Powder Puff tournament!

Homecoming Pep Rally
Join us this Friday, September 21st at 2:00pm in Gyms A/B for this year's Homecoming Pep Rally! We'll recognize our fall Varsity teams, introduce this year's Homecoming Court, and get ready for the Homecoming game!

Varsity Football Home Game - HOMECOMING

This Friday, September 21st is HOMECOMING at HGCS! We'll have a pep rally at 2:00pm in Gyms A/B to recognize our fall varsity teams and Homecoming Court. Varsity Football will kick-off against Village Christian at 7:00pm. Students who blue and gold to the game will be admitted for just $1! (General Admission - $5, Kids 10 & Under - Free). HGCS Alumni will be admitted to the game for free and are invited to enjoy food and fellowship at the alumni tent during the game (RSVP here)! Don't miss the crowning of the 2018 Homecoming King and Queen at halftime!

Homecoming Alumni Tent

Join us at the alumni tent for the HGCS Homecoming game on Friday, September 21st! We will have a taco bar, cornhole, and lots of great fellowship with HG alumni! Food will be served under the tent beginning at 6:30pm, and the football game will kick off at 7:00pm. All alumni and their immediate families will be admitted to the game and tent for free! Food Truck Tailgate Friday

The AAA Booster Club is hosting a "Food Truck Tailgate" this Friday, September 7th at the Varsity Football home game! Get here early to enjoy great food and fellowship on the practice field before the game. Food trucks will begin serving at 6:00pm.

Varsity Football Home Game - NEON NIGHT 

This Friday, September 7th is NEON NIGHT at the Varsity Football home game! Kick-off against Camden Military Academy is at 7:00pm. Students who neon to the game will be admitted for just $1! (General Admission - $5, Kids 10 & Under - Free)

Cornhole Tournament Friday

Our 2nd annual "5th Quarter" Cornhole Tournament was postponed from last Friday to this Friday, September 7th immediately after the home football game in Gyms A/B! Register your team with Mrs. Rhodes during lunch this week. Registration is $10 for a team of 2 (free for teachers). Winners will get HG Boss of the Toss t-shirts and a $10 concessions voucher. All proceeds will go to missions!
