Food Truck Tailgate Friday

The AAA Booster Club is hosting a "Food Truck Tailgate" this Friday, September 7th at the Varsity Football home game! Get here early to enjoy great food and fellowship on the practice field before the game. Food trucks will begin serving at 6:00pm.

Varsity Football Home Game - NEON NIGHT 

This Friday, September 7th is NEON NIGHT at the Varsity Football home game! Kick-off against Camden Military Academy is at 7:00pm. Students who neon to the game will be admitted for just $1! (General Admission - $5, Kids 10 & Under - Free)

Cornhole Tournament Friday

Our 2nd annual "5th Quarter" Cornhole Tournament was postponed from last Friday to this Friday, September 7th immediately after the home football game in Gyms A/B! Register your team with Mrs. Rhodes during lunch this week. Registration is $10 for a team of 2 (free for teachers). Winners will get HG Boss of the Toss t-shirts and a $10 concessions voucher. All proceeds will go to missions!

Off-Season Workouts

Workouts for all high school off-season athletes are being held Monday through Thursday from 2:45 to 4:30 at the field house. Both male and female athletes from any sport are welcome and encouraged to attend workouts.

Team Pictures

Fall team pictures will be taken September 13th, 14th, and 17th. Please see the schedule below for each team's date and time. All athletes will take both an individual and team pictures regardless of whether or not they are ordering pictures. Please bring your completed PICTURE FORM and money to turn in to the photographer on your team's picture day.

USA Night at Varsity Football Home Game

Friday, September 15th is USA Night at the Varsity Football home game against the Carolina Gladiators at 7:00pm! Students who dress for USA Night will be admitted to the game for just $1! Regular admission for the game is $5 (free for kids 10 & under).

Varsity Softball Championship Presentation

The Athletic Department will be recognizing the 2017 HGCS Varsity Softball team this Friday at the Varsity Football home game for their state championship season! We will be presenting the players and coaches with their championship rings during halftime of the football game. Please join us as we celebrate the softball team's outstanding accomplishment!

5th Quarter Cornhole Tournament

Join us for the "5th Quarter" Cornhole Tournament immediately following the Varsity Football home game on Friday, September 15th in Gyms A & B!
Registration is open to for high school and middle school students, parents, and teachers. High school and middle school students and parents can sign up for $10 per team of two (cash only). Teachers may register a team of two for free. Sign-ups will be held with Mrs. Rhodes September 11th-15th during lunch and at the football game on September 15th. The deadline to register a team is halftime of the football game this Friday. 
All money collected from the tournament will go to missions and hurricane relief efforts.

Student Volunteers After Games

We are in need of high school students to help break down the field and clean up after home football games. Students can receive community service hours for volunteering for clean-up. All student volunteers should meet Mrs. Garner at the top of the student section beside the press box immediately after the football game ends.

Please be sure to bring your uniform to wear for team pictures. All athletes will take individual pictures in addition to the team picture, even if they are not purchasing the individual picture. Please make sure to bring your Sports Picture Order Form and money to turn in to Julie Scott, the photographer, on picture day. 

Varsity Women's Basketball Workouts
Off-season workouts for Varsity Women's Basketball will be held every Monday and Wednesday starting Wednesday, September 6th in Gym C and the Field House after school until 4:30pm. Any girls interested in attending Varsity Women's Basketball workouts should contact Assistant Coach Rhonda Williams at rhondawilliams@hgchristian.org.

HGCS hosts two major fundraisers each year to support our growth in the areas of academics (technology), fine arts and athletics from TK all the way to 12th grade. We are excited to introduce a new opportunity this fall called ShoppingBoss!

Homecoming 2017

This year's Homecoming game is scheduled for Friday, September 29th. The Varsity Football team will kick-off against Asheville School at 7:00pm. Be sure to dress for "Blue & Gold Night" to support the Lions! Students who wear blue and gold to the game will be admitted for just $1. Regular admission is $5 (free for kids 10 & under). Don't miss the presentation of the Homecoming Court at halftime!
