All MAC Championship games scheduled for Thursday, May 4th have been moved up to 4:00pm, including the Varsity Softball game at HGCS.
On Tuesday, our Varsity Softball team defeated SouthLake in the MAC Tournament Semifinals to advance to the MAC Championship game, which will be played on Thursday at 5:30 at HGCS. They are already the MAC Regular Season Champions and hope to be the MAC Tournament Champions as well! Additionally, six of our Varsity Softball players were named All-Conference: Casey Chambers, Savannah Brown, Jaden Williams, Maddie Sehen, Michelle Manning, and Jade Porter.
Unfortunately, our Varsity Women's Soccer team lost 2-5 on Tuesday in the MAC Tournament Semifinals to Gaston Day School. However, they were MAC Regular Season Champions for the 2017 season, and five HG players were named All-Conference: Maren Syska, Holly Bennett, Katie Shepard, Rea Syska, and Dani Calhoun.
Varsity Track competed in the MAC Championship meet on Tuesday, and two HG runners were conference champions in their events: Imani Riddick-Cherry in the women's 400 and Lauren Burke in the women's 800.
On Monday, Varsity Men's Golf played in the MAC Tournament, and the team placed 2nd overall, with Hayden Turner making All-Conference.
Varsity Men's Tennis is competing in the MAC Tournament on Wednesday, and we will finish up our conference play Thursday with the Varsity Softball championship!
